I know I have been gone from my blog for a while, but I am happy to announce I am back to blog regularly! I am on summer vacation, so we have been really busy going places, seeing things, and meeting new people! I hope to share with you my exciting plans this summer, and the small day-to-day things this season that just make me smile. I hope my readers are having a lovely time, and I hope everyone is happy and healthy!
Firstly, today we are going to a big arts festival that is quite wonderful. It has food, music, games, and shopping booths. We are also going bathing suit shopping. I can't wait to go poolside to swim and relax! My pool is a gorgeous place. It has fountains, large diving boards, and a giant swimming area! I took swim lessons at a young age, so I can swim extremely well and long-distance, not to mention fast. Today should be a really fun day. Today I am wearing a pretty piece by the brand Shyla that is an infinity scarf. It has a beautiful floral print on it, which matches the cute orange stud earrings I have on from Khol's.
Tomorrow my close friend and I are going to see the movie based on the book we both read and enjoyed called The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. If you haven't read the book, you must! Read it before you see the movie! The movie came out yesterday, so it's terrific to go see it right after it comes out like I am! The novel is basically about two teenagers who meet at support-group, where they go to discuss their problems. The story is told from Hazel Grace Lancaster's point of view, and Augustus Waters is her boyfriend. Both teenagers have rare forms of cancer, but this teary read is not a "cancer book". It is a book that looks on life positively, but shows the pleasure crashing down. If anyone wants to read a blog post on how I liked the movie, please let me know! I will only post it if it is something my readers really want to see.
With the weather absolutely wonderful lately, I have been doing a lot of gardening and planting! We've planted impatiens and petunias, along with gorgeous pink flowers that I have no idea as to what they are called. Our garden looks terrific! We planted peppers and tomatoes along the side of the house and did flower beds, hanging baskets, and pots. Gardening is so relaxing!
I am working on installing apps onto my iPod Touch and phone, as they have recently been rebooted. If you have good app suggestions, please let me know! Here is an overview of my top three app picks.
* Perfect 365 (this is a free photo-editing app that tells you to pinpoint features on your face to edit)
* Color Touch (this is a free photo-editing app that lets you add a pop of color to any of your photos)
* Music Download Simple (this is a free music-downloading app that is very simple to use)
